Ok, so I had this idea last night to start up a HALO based RP centering around a the events of the first two HALO games - except with differences. For example, there could be many Spartans. Anyway, I wanted to put the idea up here first to see what everyone thaught because the last few RP ideas I had turned out to be damp squids...

So. Halo not a good idea then, eh? Then what about this: Starcraft: Koprulu War! Basically, this is Starcraft during the original Zerg invasion (not Brood War events) that can be set on any number of worlds, even those names in literature. For those of you who are thinking "huh? Wossat den?", the Koprulu sector of space is approxomatly 60,000 lightyears distant from Earth, and inhabited by three distinct factions, each of which knows very little about the others

Terran Confederacy: Humans! Yes, nice squichy humans! With advanced technology, Humanity has managed to create a small empire of 12 planets, ruled over from the world of Tarsonis by the iron-fisted military commanders. Marines make up a large portion of the Confederate armies, either equipped out with standard-issue splinter rifles or flamethrowers, the specialist "Ghost" units are equipped with different gear. Teran vehicles range from the Goliath riot control walker, to the Bahemoth class Battlecruiser.

Zerg: Space beasties. Their goal: land on a world and absorb the local life into the fold - willing or not. The Zerg use purely organic technologies, and have distilled several distinct genome species for use intheir war of assimilation. Ranging from the small Zergling to the huge Ultralisk, they have a species to suit any occasion on land as well as air. And all the broods are urged on by the immortal Cerebrates

Protoss: Physically weaker than either the Zerg or the Terrans, they make up for it with amazing technology and psycic power. In all manner of things, psi power is evident from the 'psi blades' used by the Templar infantry, to the large Kayderan crystals that provide power to their buildings. Also, their level of technology is readilly apparent as droids of all shapes and sizes iad the Protoss in all things

How would it be run? SOmething like the actual game or would it be first person like Ghost was sposed to be?

Character basedm of course. There are no lack of heroes and villains. And it would be a loose RP, like the TF ones here, with the odd 'storyboard' event thrown in every so often

Halo is available on the PC, and I hear tell of a Halo3 on the 360.
